District Leadership
Annual Administrators Academy
Two day workshops are held annually for ESC staff and partnering districts to meet with their administrative teams preparing for the upcoming school year. Some topics from past years have been Using Standards and Accountability to Get the Organizational Results You Want, Educating Students for a Profoundly Different Future, Leading Systematic Change, The Neuroscience of Learning, Emotionally Intelligent Leadership, Achieving Balanced Leadership and Bridging the Gap Between Reality and Vision.
This is a very timely and cost efficient way of bringing staff members together into a learning community setting in preparation for the start of the school year. Time is provided for districts to have break-out sessions for team building activities.
North Coast Quality Collaborative
The North Coast Quality Collaborative was formed several years ago as a network of school districts focused on a systems approach to continuous improvement to produce quality student success. The focus has always been on expanding and enhancing a quality education for all students. Some of the activities have included administrative assistants, maintenance and transportation personnel coming together to determine what “quality” looks like within their departments; nationally known speakers challenging present educational thought.
The focus for the school years have included
2007-2008 “The World in Transition”.
2008-2009 "The impact of technology on teaching and learning".
2009-2010 "The Future".
For the 2010-2011 school year the focus is on "The Four Pillars of Success".
