Through funding from the Office of Safe and Supportive Learning Environments (SSLE) at the Ohio Department of Education, the ESC of Cuyahoga County developed a Daily Physical Activity (DPA) Framework for Kindergarten through 12th-grade students in Ohio schools. This product was developed to support school districts in implementing SB 210, the Healthy Choices for Healthy Children Act.

 

The specific purpose of this project was to develop a model K-12 daily physical activity pilot program to provide schools throughout Ohio with foundational physical activity guidance, knowledge and implementation strategies. This model was developed with the support of physical education and health education specialists from Aurora, Euclid, Parma, and Solon school districts and is comprised of age appropriate, scoped and sequenced sets of activities along with sample programs that can be implemented, grades K-12.
