The mission and goals of the Educational Service Center of Cuyahoga County are to provide assistance to contracted school districts and agencies in order to offer a broad range of resources to support their mission to serve all learners.
Quality is defined as a customer / client satisfaction wherein their needs and values are being served. In this sense, the mission is seen as dynamic and constantly evolving. The customer, at the first level of analysis, is the local, exempted village, city, vocational school district, other agencies, and the Ohio Department of Education. They are assumed to be contracting for “quality” as opposed to a product that in the final analysis directly serves the student (customer). The customers have a right to expect the following from the ESC:
Our operational posture reflects that of a private enterprise providing services in an open market. The prevailing attitude is aimed at functioning “as if we can go out of business” if the services rendered are not efficient and effective for school districts. |
