Monday, January 28, 2019
Topic:   Curriculum & Instruction
Sponsored by:   ESC-NEO
Presenter(s):   Jeff McClellan, founding director and CEO of STARTSOLE
Description:   SOLE is an educational approach designed to promote inquiry and to foster self-empowerment in Self-Organized Learning Environments. SOLE focuses on the process of learning itself instead of simply focusing on the results. Sessions begin with a big question that leads to group investigation, online research, review of findings, and ultimately to presentations about discoveries. SOLE sessions in the classroom promote critical thinking and collaborative work among students that foster communication, inclusion, digital literacy, and educational innovation.
