This three day training will equip educators with the knowledge and
expertise needed to implement and share the SIOP model, as well as
a deeper understanding of its effectiveness in the classroom with
English Language Learners (ELs) and other students.
Content includes the research-based methodology of sheltered
instruction for ELs and the eight aspects of sheltered instruction
design, in addition to the practice and evaluation of sheltered
Instruction lessons. This interactive training allows teachers to learn
and practice ways to plan and implement lessons that allow English
Learners to access content standards as they develop English
language proficiency. |
