Description:  

The recent changes in Ohio’s Gifted Operating Standards recognize the importance of regular classroom teachers working with gifted students to obtain professional development hours in gifted education.  These modules address important topics necessary to ensure success for gifted students in our schools.  Facilitators of these modules all have gifted endorsements and concrete experiences with gifted students, including teaching classes, coordinating programs, and guiding students throughout their K-12 educational experiences.                     

 

 Curriculum and Instruction for High Ability Students  - Part 1

 This module familiarizes the participant with various strategies to enhance curriculum and instruction for gifted students, including acceleration, differentiation, and teaching for depth and complexity.

Prerequisite- suggested but not required: Nature and Needs of Gifted Students

Audience:   Classroom teachers working with gifted students and any other interested educators
