New mentors to the Resident Educator Program are required to successfully complete the two-day Mentor Academy Training to receive mentor certification.  Day 2 focuses on formative/summative assessment, providing feedback and observations for learning. Mentors apply knowledge and skills learned on Day 1 to design, practice and implement differentiated mentoring to support and accelerate the instructional growth and development of the Resident Educator.
