In this session participants will explore issues with learning place value positionally versus conceptually. We will use tools that span the K-6 setting used to build conceptual place value for our young people. Each tool will be used to show the sequence of development for our learners; we will go from counting rotely by one to building conceptual understanding of decimals. |
