Audience: K-12 teachers, especially those teachers who need professional development hours to meet theoperating standards to service gifted students
Districts are encouraged to register a group of teachers to collaborate in this online learning experience.
Participants will earn 15 hours that can count for this year or upcoming years’ requirements for teachers who serve gifted students.
Course Objectives
= Acquire specific strategies that allow for differentiation of instructional materials and content
= Examine practices that promote student engagement and critical thinking
Course Overview
= Each book study is a 6 week online course using Google classroom to facilitate weekly discussions.
= Participants will complete weekly reading assignments and answer questions as well as respond to colleagues in the group discussion.
