Shelly Habegger, Ph.D. is Curriculum Director at Barberton City Schools. She is certified as a trainer for Emotional Poverty, using strategies developed by Ruby Payne.

In this workshop, participants will learn
º why everyone has emotional outbursts
º how to handle our own emotions
º ways to address anger, anxiety and violence
º strategies and best practices that work in the classrooms.
Prior to the session, participants may wish to order the book, Emotional Poverty in all Demographics: How to Reduce Anger, Anxiety and Violence in the Classroom by Ruby Payne, Ph.D.
