In response to feedback from Program Coordinators, Mentors, and Resident Educators, the Ohio Resident Educator Program Standards have been updated, with accompanying revisions to the Resident Educator (RE) Mentor Academy. The Mentor Academy is a two-day training which is required for anyone wishing to serve as a mentor for Ohio’s Resident Educators. Due to current restrictions and concerns regarding gatherings of large groups, the ESC of Northeast Ohio is pleased to offer an online version of the updated Resident Educator Mentor Academy Trainings in support of Resident Educators and their mentors.

The training format will consist of three synchronous online sessions, with asynchronous activities (3-4 hours) to be completed according to the participant’s schedule, between sessions. (Please note: Participants may choose to attend meetings in different sessions, but Day 1 must be completed before attending a Day 2 session.) Please note: For each Session, you must attend both of the Day 1 segments to successfully complete the Day 1 training.

Location: Online

Dates and Times:   

Day 1: October 19, 4:00-6:00 pm 

          October 21, 4:00-6:00 pm

You must attend both of the Day 1 segments to successfully complete the Day 1 training.

Day 2: October 26, 4:00-7:00 pm

Fee:  $60 per Day $120 total                                               

Registration:  Registration must be completed through the Ohio Department of Education’s registration system, STARS.
