State Support Team 3 and the Educational Service Center of Cuyahoga County will be bringing in Sloane Burgess Ph.D., Certified TEACCH trainer who will work with 5 local trainers to provide 5-day Intensive (ASD) Classroom training for staff working with students with autism spectrum disorders and multiple disabilities.
This intensive hands-on training is limited to 25 participants. If the program becomes filled, those not accepted will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted in the event of openings due to cancellations of other participants.

The fee includes many valuable training materials, daily continental breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages. A Purchase Order is due by June 1, 2017. If you are paying for this workshop on your own a $250.00 non-refundable deposit will be required by June 1, 2017, full payment will be due by June 12, 2017.
This year’s 5 day intensive classroom (ASD) training will focus on staff working with students aged 5-14 on the autism spectrum. The training is very intensive and includes daily lectures, and hands-on experiences with students with autism in a model classroom. Close guidance and feedback from 5 trainers will be provided throughout. While the focus group is students with autism, the strategies learned by teachers are applicable to other students with other developmental disabilities as well.
College credit at a separate reduced cost for the summer training will be available. Information will be given at the training.
