 Have you seen Ohio's revised Learning Standards in Technology but aren't sure what to do next? Do you need ideas of what these standards could look like for the grade level or subject(s) you teach? Are you still thinking that maybe these standards are only for the technology teacher? (They aren't.) Join us for an introduction to the skills and knowledge that make up the revised technology standards. Our approach to the technology standards professional development series - and to the revised standards themselves - focuses not on the technology or digital tools, but on using technology to support instructional learning objectives, including those in other academic content areas. The session will feature activities that familiarize participants with the revised standards. You will find connections between the standards and other content areas and will be able to begin visualizing and planning ways to integrate the standards in your instruction. You also will have the chance to identify areas where you have questions or anticipate needing additional support. The areas participants identify will guide the topics included in future professional development opportunities. To close the session, presenters will introduce the Learning Management System for Ohio Education. You will be able to enroll in the online version of this same session when this course is available. The online platform will allow you to continue learning and discussing standards-related issues with fellow educators as you implement the technology standards.
