This 3-day workshop will provide participants the basics to set up a Readers’ and Writers’ Workshop Approach within their classroom. This framework supports the rigor of the Common Core, or Ohio’s Learning Standards for ELA. The workshop will provide examples and demonstrate how to teach within this framework which provides authentic learning opportunities for ALL students.
Teachers will leave the session with an understanding about the 5 big ideas of early literacy, instructional strategies as they relate to the big 5, as well as a structure and process to teach reading and writing.
