Presented by Carol O'Connor and Patricia Remissong - MAY 23-24, 2017
Veteran instructional coaches Carol O'Connor and Patricia Remissong (formerly Reynolds) share leadership strategies for unlocking the power of instructional coaching to improve teacher practice in K–12 schools and advocate for instructional coaching for all teachers as the foundation of a strategic and differentiated professional development plan. In this two-day institute, leaders will learn how to identify coaching talent, organize a coaching program, and focus the work of coaches.
In response to the growing accountability of schools for improving student achievement through cutting-edge classroom instruction, this institute will explore various topics, including
- The critical skills, habits, and expectations of effective instructional coaches.
- A toolkit of strategies for coaches and leaders to use.
- Strategic agreements between administrators and coaches that ensure teachers' success.
Participants will explore leadership techniques for leveraging the power of instructional coaches in order to transform classroom instruction and grow professional learning communities.
