During this 3-day series, participants will learn how to promote young children’s social-emotional development within the context of their existing PBIS framework (Tier I) utilizing the CSEFEL (Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning) model. Facets of the modules include: • building relationships • creating supportive environments • social-emotional teaching strategies • determining the meaning of challenging behavior • developing behavior support plans Attendees will have opportunities to use the CSEFEL materials and apply new strategies in their classrooms and then return for discussion to share experiences, brainstorm solutions, and hone skills. Participants will be expected to share effective classroom practices as part of program-wide PBIS implementation prior to implementing Tier II supports.
At least one PBIS leadership team member is required to attend. |
