| Description: |
The Early Childhood Positive Behavior and Intervention Support professional development series promotes implementation of PBIS specific to the unique context of early childhood while aligned with Ohio’s school-aged PBIS initiative. This is a four-session series that focuses on:
• Introducing the concept of PBIS as a multi-tiered system of support.
• Implementing the core components of early childhood PBIS as well as the required elements necessary to implement the PBIS framework effectively.
• Developing effective leadership teams including an internal facilitator.
• Designing Program wide expectations and acknowledgement systems with developmentally appropriate practices.
• Sharing PBIS with families.
• Utilizing monitoring tools to evaluate implementation.
• Identifying data collection stools to monitor problem behavior including instruction of social-emotional competencies for all children.
In addition, SST-3 will provide selected programs with on-site participation in leadership team meetings as well as coaching and technical assistance to support implementation efforts.
Audience: Program leadership teams which may include general and special educators, teaching assistant, administrator/supervisor, family representative, related services provider, and BLT members. This is a team-based registration. |

Participants MUST attend all sessions.
Please note: The November 17, 2017 session will be held at the Independence Library, 6361 Seling Blvd., Independence OH 44131. All other sessions will be held at the ESC of Cuyahoga County. |
