Throughout this course, participants will respond online to both readings and video content via analysis, evaluation, reflection, and discussion forums. The will also be required to implement new learning in their classrooms and create a culminating, collaborative project.

Completion of this HQT professional development series will provide 45 clock hours that contribute to meet the HQT requirements for science.

This professional development series will consist of:

· Two (2) mandatory 3-hour Face-to-Face Sessions

· Refreshing and Reinforcing Science Content (10 hours)

· Diagramming and Explaining Learning Progressions: Vertical Articulation (4 hours)

· Facing the Future of Science Instruction: A Framework for K-12 Science Education—includes Discussion Boards (9 hours)

· Practical Applications and Field Experience (10 hours)

· Culminating, Collaborative Project (6 hours)
