Description:  

This new program offered by the Educational Service Center of Cuyahoga County is designed to provide ongoing training, education and support for practicing principals. Principals will participate in a year-long program and be teamed with a mentor/facilitator to assist in the development of skills to enhance one’s ability to lead a school building. A cohort of principals will participate in eight meetings throughout the school year. There will be four personal mentor/coaching meetings and four group seminars. All meetings will be focused on growing leadership skills. Topics will include but not limited to:

· Leading change

· Innovative practices

· Time management

· Communication

· Networking

· Curriculum development

· Dealing with conflict

· Climate and culture change

· Building relationships

· Budgeting

· Scheduling

· Caring, commitment and collaboration

The value in having a personal mentor can be one of the most rewarding experiences for a leader. A Personal Growth Plan will be developed with each participant.
