Description:   Building on the SST3 Closing the Achievement Gap Series in 2016-17, we will engage past participants and new teams in learning and conversation around cultural and personal identity, equity and UDL. We will explore how our understanding of these topics can lead to transformational conversations with colleagues, relationship building with students and school cultures built on a commitment to engaging all students in the learning process.  This is the first session in a five session series.

Audience:   District or building level teams who are committed to learning more about and embedding UDL, equity and high expectations into their improvement plans to create systemic, proactive changes. Teams must have a minimum of 3 members (and a maximum of 8) and include an administrator and teachers leaders representing general and special education.
Preference given to Cuyahoga County

Registration is NOT done through STARS. 

A Team Registration Packet on Page 3 and 4 of Flyer should be completed and sent to Karen Brayer at [email protected] or faxed to 216-446-3829.  Participants MUST attend all sessions.

 

Applications are due on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Teams will be notified of their acceptance on Friday, September 22, 2017.

 

This series builds on foundational knowledge built in Year One (2016-17).  Priority for attendance at this series will be:

 

1.  Teams that participated in the entire series last year

2.  Teams that have had professional development related to equity and UDL

3.  Teams that participated last year but did not attend all sessions

4.  New Teams

5.  Individual attendance at a session
