Project Based Learning (PBL), is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working through a process of sustained inquiry in response to a complex question, problem, or challenge. This interactive workshop led by ESC consultant who was trained by Buck Institute for Education (BIE) and implemented PBL’s in grades 7-12 - workshop facilitator has three basic parts: Project Design, Assessment, and Management. It is designed to teach the basics of PBL through exemplifying the experience of a project, video analysis of best classroom practice, exploration of PBL tools and project libraries, and development of a project with opportunities for critique and revision.
