Description: |
Paul C. Gorski is Associate Professor of Integrative Studies in New Century College at George Mason University. He is the founder of EdChange and the Multicultural Pavilion, a Web site that has won more than a dozen awards internationally for its contribution to multicultural education scholarship and practice.
Author of Reaching and Teaching Students in Poverty, Paul Gorski describes how difficult it is for teachers to change their beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors toward low-income students and their families. Using powerful personal examples, he helps educators learn about the devastating impact of poverty on children's lives and helps them think about what they can do to become "equity literate educators." |
