The
Ohio Department of Education has redesigned the OTES 2.0 Bridge Training to
make it available virtually. This online option will be available ONLY DURING COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS. This
virtual option is being offered FREE OF
CHARGE. Course discussions and activities supported by ESCNEO state
trainers, Mindy Geschke, Christy Roshong, and Kathleen Scott.
Things to consider:
- To be eligible for OTES 2.0 Bridge
Training, participants must have been credentialed as evaluators under OTES
1.0. This credential need not be current.
- Districts not implementing OTES 2.0
during the 2020-2021 school year may elect to register evaluators for this
virtual training.
- This is a blended learning module which
is primarily asynchronous and self-paced with participation in AT LEAST ONE synchronous learning session required. The synchronous sessions will be offered
during the full week of the session window:
- OTES 2.0 Rubric Session: Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
(8/11/20; 9/15/20) - HQSD in OTES 2.0: Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
(8/12/20; 9/16/20) - Reconciling Ratings: Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
(8/13/20; 9/17/20)

- Registration
must be completed through the OH|ID portal, in the
Training and Registration tile.
- Search “virtual” in event name to find the Virtual OTES 2.0 Bridge Training
