Description:  

Research has shown that quality programs have a positive impact on child outcomes, school readiness and school success. What is a quality program and how does a program’s vision and desires for the children they care for align with quality measures? Training participants will explore these topics, including quality environment as interaction indicators and various program assessment tools. An overview on consideration for selecting program assessment tools will also be presented.

This module will serve as a prerequisite to the subsequent Measures of Quality Professional Development trainings:

 

  • Using the CLASS as a Measure of Quality
  • Using the Environmental Rating Scale as a Measure of Quality
  • Selecting and Conducting Assessments
  • Using Measures of Quality to inform Practice
  • Planning and Implementation Using Measures of Quality

 

Audience:   Teachers in ODE funded Preschool Special Education and ECE programs, administrators, assistants and related service providers. Priority for training is for teachers then secondary support as room allows
Preference given to Cuyahoga County
