This training focuses on introducing formative assessment to early childhood professionals who work with children from birth to kindergarten entry. The module defines formative assessment and addresses its purpose. It also introduces how to use formative assessment to support and enhance early learning and development.
This module is conducted through a blended format. The first two sessions are delivered through an online system and the final one in a face-to-face session. An essential component of the trainings is the “Into Practice” activities. This will be required to be submitted to the trainer prior to receiving credit for this Ohio Approved Professional Development training.
