OhioMeansJobs K-12 (OMJ K-12) is a comprehensive approach to college and career readiness planning for all students.  It contains educational and career information, search and comparisons, career assessment and exploration, daily living assessment and options, job search, and much more.  OMJ K-12 is the enhanced version of the former Ohio Career Information System (OCIS) and is now available FREE of charge to all Ohio students.  OMJ K-12 will provide students, families, and professionals a means to develop, update, and maintain a personalized transition resource as they progress through their K-12 education to become productive adults.

 

This training will provide district personnel with the basic functioning of the OMJ K-12 website including registering for an account, and the use of the site to support and train students as they create, develop, and maintain their career “Backpack”.  As a personalized internet Cloud resource, the Backpack will be integral in saving all the investigative efforts of students.

 

During this training, you will also have the opportunity to receive hands-on experience using the OMJ K-12 website portal.  This training is open to intervention specialists, counselors, and general education instructors who want to provide OMJ K-12 training to their colleagues.
