Superintendent Licensure Program
 
The YSU Program is nationally recognized by the Educational Leadership Constituent Council for excellence in preparing district level leaders to meet today's challenges. It is a 15 credit hour program delivered in hybrid format for the benefit of busy professionals at convenient off-campus locations. The program is highly practical in nature, focusing on the responsibilities and duties of the superintendent. It combines extensive clinical activities with advanced courses on legal and policy issues, collective bargaining and school facilities and technology, as well as the superintendency. Courses are taught by an experienced team of male and female superintendents and attorneys with extensive experience in the field. The Program can be completed in three terms or a calendar year. 
 
Doctorate in Educational Leadership
 
The Doctor of Education Program in Educational Leadership provides terminal professional preperation for administrators in public and non-public schools throughout northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania. It is a 61 credit hour program delviered in hybrid form with monthly, all-day meetings that are blended with Blackboard-based instructional modules. New cohorts begin each fall semester. Memebers enroll in two doctoral core courses each semester and complete all doctoral core courses within six terms or by the end of the second summer after enrollment.
