As part of Ohio's commitment to standards and accountability for all educators, the Ohio Superintendent Evaluation System was created as a companion to the Ohio Standards for Superintendent. Recognizing the importance of developing strong educational leaders, the Ohio Department of Education, in partnership with the
Buckeye Association of School Administrators
(BASA) and the
Ohio School Boards Association
(OSBA) developed the model system of evaluation for superintendents and school boards as a tool that can be used to promote high levels of leader effectiveness, professional growth and ongoing dialogue between superintendents and boards of education.
The ESC of Northeast Ohio offers technical assistance and customized support to our educational leaders on the Ohio Superintendent Evaluation System.
