HB410 Pilot

Multidisciplinary Truancy Team Pilot Program

A portion of the HB410 legislation required the Ohio Family and Children First Cabinet Council to establish the Multidisciplinary Truancy Team Pilot Program for the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 school years. The pilot program is designed to introduce the opportunity for local school districts to create collaborative relationships with community partners in an effort to reduce chronic absenteeism and truancy-related issues.
The Multidisciplinary Truancy Team Pilot Program is designed to support local school districts in three areas: 1) the cultivation of community partnerships to assist in the effort to address truancy-related issues, 2) increase in the identification and the access to community resources to aid in the effort to address truancy-related issues and 3) develop and implement a consistent family-involved, team-based process that will aid in the development of a comprehensive plan of action to reduce the number of out-of-school days.
East Cleveland City Schools, Parma City Schools, South Euclid-Lyndhurst City Schools and Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools are partnering with the ESC of Northeast Ohio, the community partner, for the Multidisciplinary Truancy Team Pilot Program.
